Expansion Joint Survey

Expansion Joint Survey

An Expansion Joint Survey is performed on site, noting the type and condition of every elastomeric expansion joint, taking installed measurements and generating a report to the plant with observations and recommendations. Where Garlock joints are used, we will log the serial number and report on the age of the joint as well. This survey can include metallic expansion joints, however this type of joint generally does not often show signs of degradation until it fails.

We offer this service free of charge, all we need is a knowledgeable plant person to show us where the joints are. Depending on the number of installed joints, this survey may take more than one day.

In addition to the above, we can provide training to maintenance and engineering on components and materials of an expansion joint, best practice installation procedures and an explanation of why such surveys at regular intervals are necessary.
